Cameron Martin
Cameron Martin (b. 1970) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. In 1994, he graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in Art and Semiotics, and completed the Whitney Independent Study Program in 1996. His paintings and drawings have been shown internationally. In addition to solo shows at galleries in the United States, Japan, and Europe, he has had one-person exhibitions at the Saint Louis Art Museum and the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the 2004 Whitney Biennial and Short Stories at the Henry Art Gallery in 2005. He received a Pollock-Krasner Award in 2000, the Freud Fellowship in 2005, and a Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship in 2008. His work is in many museum collections, including the Albright Knox, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
